Call Outs

Callout service in Swansea & surrounding areas

Let's give you a typical example of how a call out works. Unfortunately your washing machine, cooker/oven, tumble dryer or dishwasher breaks down, you telephone us (thank you very much we really appreciate it!) to arrange an appointment to check it out.
The engineer will call to your home within the arranged time slot. The repair will then fall into one of the following categories:

1: We diagnose the problem and give you the quote to repair it. If you agree the price and the parts are on the van (should you need parts) it will be repaired straight away and you pay the labour charge plus the cost of any parts.

2: We diagnose the problem and give you the quote to repair it. If you agree the price and it needs parts but we don't carry them on the van, we will collect the call out charge at this stage (think of this like a deposit) and telephone you usually the next working day, depending how busy we are to arrange another appointment so we can come back to complete the repair. You will be charged labour plus the cost of the parts, then we will deduct the call out charge paid on the previous visit.

3: We diagnose the problem and give you the quote to repair it. If for whatever reason you decide not to have the appliance repaired, or, parts are obsolete/unavailable we will collect the call out charge and then the call is finished.

Please note that certain types of fault may require more than one visit, usually at no further cost to yourself, as long as it is connected to the original fault reported. For example, an intermittant fault such as tripping may require more than one visit to identify the cause.
Please call us for charges, or any further information

Certain types of repairs require expensive parts.
These parts and / or job may need to be paid for in full before we return to complete the repair.

Charges are for one appliance in your household. For an additional appliance this will be at the engineers discretion, based on the complexity of the fault, type of appliance, and or time available to him. You may need to arrange another call out appointment with new charges.

Please note: The engineer will call you in advance when he is on his way, so please have your phone available to answer. If you do not answer and he leaves a message you may lose your appointment slot, depending on how long it takes you to return the call, distance he needs to travel, and other appointments he has. Please appreciate we have other customers waiting who may have taken time off work.

"We would not expect you to go to work for nothing, so please don't ask us to."

Emergency callouts
Please note as we repair all appliances in your home, payment is due on arrival/completion.
If this is not possible, please call for other arrangements.
experienced staff
Please be aware that we experience a considerable amount of call outs where the appliance is not being used correctly, or, is not being used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and is found there is no actual fault. This will still incur a call out charge. If in-doubt please refer to the user instructions.
You can be reassured we do not charge any extra no matter how many times we need to call to repair your appliance for the original fault reported.
We do not charge hourly rates. The price we quote is the price you pay.
